The Imperial family once used Halbturn Palace, Burgenland’s most important Baroque building, as a hunting lodge and summer palace. The palace, in northern Burgenland, and its splendid parklands, is regarded as one of Burgenland’s most esteemed historic attractions.

Series of concerts hits high notes: in spring the “Château Classic - Philharmonic Spring” series of concerts will again fill the historic setting with sound. In summer the “Halbturn Palace concerts”, under artistic director Robert Lehrbaumer, look forward to welcoming renowned artists.
Weddings at Halbturn Palace
Halbturn Palace, once owned by Empress Maria Theresa, is a delightful Baroque palace in north Burgenland, which is now also home to one of the region’s biggest and best wine estates. The palace chapel, for blessing of the bridal couple’s union, is located in the beautiful, extensive palace park. The wedding breakfast is served in the palace inn, known as the Knappenstöckl.
