NEUMARKT AN DER RAAB ARTISTS’ VILLAGE

The artists’ village of Neumarkt has been an institution in southern Burgenland since it was first established in 1964. The artists’ village includes a printing works, the village gallery, the historic oil mill, three thatched farmhouses, Burgenland’s oldest cinema and the Kreuzstadel, a cross-shaped barn. Since 2014 the modern Hypercubus mobile apartment unit, which is used as a library, has also been part of the village. There is a total of 16 rooms providing 30 beds for visitors to use as accommodation.
