KREMAYR HOUSE TOWN MUSEUM, RUST

Patron of the arts Rudolf Kremayr donated Kremayr House, one of the most striking edifices in Town Hall square, to Rust town council in 1986. The lavishly and lovingly restored town house is a gem inside and out, a unique combination of history and art.

Architectural features such as the doorway, the wooden ceilings and vaulted cellar are worth seeing in their own right. The museum also exhibits objets d’art, antiques and important pieces from Rust’s town archives, such as the deed creating the town, in a homely atmosphere.
