SOUTH BURGENLAND APPLES
The “apple village” of Kukmirn nestles in the south Burgenland-east Styrian hills between Güssing and Fürstenfeld. Whilst the region is a sea of blossom in spring, in autumn the trees are dotted with golden and red apples. Relax, recuperate and enjoy the wholesome food and superb produce from the distilleries. South Burgenland is always worth a visit.
Kukmirn is the centre of apple growing in Burgenland. All the common varieties of fruit are grown here, especially dessert apples for the local, national and international markets. The region’s special microclimate produces superb quality apples with an excellent flavour. The result is vitamin-rich, fresh as a daisy, healthy produce in harmony with nature.
