Almost one third of the national park area consists of water. But which bird species can be found on and around Lake Neusiedl and the Lacken? Our rangers know the answers!
Lake Neusiedl and the approximately 45 salt lakes are unique bodies of water in themselves. In addition, they provide a valuable habitat for many bird species, some of which are very rare. Some birds visit the water areas only to search for food, others build their nests in the immediate vicinity of them.

Equipment: own bike, sturdy shoes, clothing suitable for the weather (sun, rain and wind protection), water bottle, binoculars if available.
The tour will take place in any weather. We reserve the right to flexibly design the content of the tour and adapt it to the weather conditions.

From here you go by bike to the subarea of the national park. Own bike is mandatory, but can be rented at regional bike rentals for a small fee.
