For many years the biggest open-air museum in south Burgenland has been a focal point for culture, history, tourism, arts and crafts in the region.

The 30-plus homes and workshops, presses, cellars, storerooms, barns and other buildings, some of which are thatched, house a wealth of tools and equipment,

which give a fascinating insight into the life and work of the Pannonian plain’s farmers in the olden days.

The museum also runs a varied programme of events and numerous craft courses. Telephone booking required for guided tours for individuals and groups.
