ZANTHO is one of the best-known wineries in Austria and stands for fine wines from Burgenland. The wines are produced in collaboration between top winemaker Josef Umathum and Wolfgang Peck in Andau. The winery can also be described as a perfect symbiosis of many years of experience, the best technical equipment and optimal natural conditions. On 50 hectares of vineyards, a fine selection of fruit-driven red, white and sweet wines is produced from local varieties - Zweigelt, Sankt Laurent and Blaufränkisch are among the local classics, as is Grüner Veltliner. All of the farm's wines are equipped with the unique Vino-Lok glass stopper and regularly receive awards for their high quality. Zantho, the name of the small Burgenland village of Andau in its first documented mention in 1487, is also the name of the wine line, and the Pannonian forest lizard serves as a memorable symbol. With its unique climate influenced by Lake Neusiedl and its iron-rich gravel soils, the region is one of Austria's outstanding wine regions. More info at www.zantho.com.
