Lake Neusiedl bike trail

121,5 km, of which 38 km on the Hungarian side

  • Little to no elevation between Mörbisch and Oggau
  • Particularly suitable for Families

This is the most popular and hence the most cycled bike path of the Neusiedler Lake region. As the name suggests, the route leads around the Lake Neusiedl, along the reed belt, with some stunning views of the water.

Mangalitsa-pig (the Mangalitsa is a Hungarian breed of domestic pig) and designer rest stops.

On the East side, the path leads through the National Park Neusiedler See Seewinkel, past grey cattle, Mangalitsa-pigs and more recently cow herds. Notable are the designer rest stops: stylish Reed domes with benches and tables provide shade and protection from the wind. The mostly paved trail offers a manifold of route variations and with its two border crossings Pamhagen/Fertöd and Mörbisch/Fertörákos "barrier-free" cycling enjoyment.

CAUTION - There is a safety vest requirement at dusk, at night or during poor visibility!!
