Piano Evening in Duo: "Paris 1905" - from Claude Debussy to Maurice Ravel with concert pianists Gabriel Husson & Monan Jülch
Around the turn of the 20th century, Paris was the epicenter of artistic renewal. While painters like Monet and Renoir redefined light and movement, writers like Proust sought the hidden depths of human consciousness. In music, the rediscovery of Rameau connected the past with the present, while Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel experimented with impressionistic sonic colors. Franck's later works resonated as a romantic legacy—a period in which tradition and innovation merged in a fascinating dialogue. This extraordinary piano evening is presented in a captivating interplay by the two rising stars Gabriel Husson and Monan Jülch. Pianist Gabriel Husson not only became the first federal prize winner with the highest score in 2023, as well as a three-time special prize winner at "Jugend Musiziert" in the solo piano category, but he is also the winner of the WDR Classical Prize of the City of Münster. Monan Jülch is also an award winner at "Jugend Musiziert," as well as a prize winner of numerous international piano competitions.
