In the past, friends and family members of the bride and groom got together to bake the wedding pastries in the bride's kitchen or a rented bakery. The individual jobs within the baking team were precisely divided, and were led by the wedding baker.

There was the one who was responsible for stirring the dough, another one took over the cutting out and yet another one the decorating of the often multi-level cake.

Aloisia Bischof grew up with this custom. Out of love for the bakery, she founded her own business after successfully passing her confectioner's exam.

There, as in the old days, but with modern equipment, cakes and wedding pastries are baked, which are distributed by the bride and groom to friends and neighbors after the wedding.
