The Podersdorf Windmill is the largest windmill in Austria! It is fully operational and impresses primarily with its technology. Originally, there were seven windmills in the Seewinkel region. The only one that is still fully preserved today and accessible to the public through its restoration is located in Podersdorf am See. The windmill is approximately 170 years old, has been under monument protection for about 65 years, and remains in the private ownership of the Lentsch family. Under suitable conditions, such as wind direction and strength, it is put into operation. During a guided tour, you can learn all about the functionality and history of the windmill!
