Petra Lindenbauer sees herself as an applied ceramist, the communicative element of ceramics is important to her. Because when she works with clay, there is always a counterpart: a person, a space to which the ceramic refers, the form and an idea.
Petra Lindenbauer's ceramics are therefore always in a context, partly because they are actively included in daily life: Tableware is there to be used - you touch it, you feel the shape, the clay, the glaze. But the integrative character also stands for the interaction with the material. Again and again, she discovers anew how much personality there is in it and how much momentum and stubbornness the clay has, if one only lets it.
