For more than 50 years the Moritz family has been cultivating vines in Horitschon. On an area of about 3 hectares, only Blaufränkisch and Blauer Zweigelt are cultivated. From cultivation and care to pressing the grapes and bottling the finished wine, everything is done in the family business. Devoted manual work - since 2006 according to organic guidelines - leads to regionally typical, but independent and distinctive red wines with character.

"Our greatness lies in our smallness" - The small size of their winery allows them to cherish each individual grapevine and give them the care they need to grow best possible grapes, as they are convinced that a carefully kept vinyard ist the foundation for extraordinary wines. Loose grapes, a well-aerated foliage, appropriate greening of the vine rows to encourage beneficial insects, humus build-up and much more are the cornerstones for the production of fruity, terroir-influenced, independent and interesting red wines.

Exclusivity becomes "tangible" - Their philosophy of exclusivity continues in the cellar and on every single bottle, all of which have a handmade felt label. The quality and uniqueness of the wines, also become visible to the outside world and "tangible" in the truest sense of the word.

In harmony with nature - Since 2004 the Moritz family have intensified their efforts to work in harmony and with nature for even higher quality. As a final consequence, in 2006 the family decided to switch completely to organic farming.

From insider tip to rarity - quality and success have created great demand for the wines throughout Austria. With an annual production of only about 15,000 bottles the wines become a rarity, which makes each and every bottle something very special. And that is how they get treat - every single one indivdually. And you can see, smell and taste that - glass after glass after glass ...
