ABOUT THE CONCERT
Six top female musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic come together in an exciting combination of string and woodwind instruments. Drawing on their orchestral music-making tradition, they span their repertoire from classical Viennese dance music to jewels of opera literature, as well as explorations into the world of film music, including newly composed works written specifically for them. Vienna's sound culture, virtuosity, and unrestrained joy of making music unite the six women in their own “La Philharmonica”-style.
