The shrimp are reared in specially developed tanks at a constant water temperature of 28°C. The shrimp are kept at a constant temperature. For this purpose, they use industrial waste heat, which comes from a wood chip heating plant.
The water is enriched with oxygen, a water exchange is not necessary. In addition to shrimp, bacteria and plankton also live in the tanks. Their interaction simulates the marine cycle and the whole system is in balance.
The precisely coordinated interaction of this sophisticated system enables a uniquely sustainable and virtually emission-free shrimp farming.
