With the alpaca breeding the Artner family has fulfilled a heart's desire. These very calm and sensitive animals with their loving beady eyes enrich young and old.

Alpacas, like llamas, vicuñas and guanacos, belong to the New World camelid family and come from South America, the high plateaus of the Andes (Chile/Peru). They live to be about 20 to 25 years old and weigh between 60 and 85 kg. The height of a full-grown animal is about 80 to 100 cm. The mare carries about 11.5 months and usually gives birth to 1 foal, also called crias.

The amount of care required for alpacas is limited. The humble animals need about 1 round bale of hay, fresh water and a generous grazing area per year.

In addition, the Alpakahpf also owns a small, but for this with much love and own handmade products, run farm store.

The top priority is the quality of the products. The assortment ranges from handmade baby sets to alpaca wool, textile products, bedspreads, and teddy bears.
