Where historical bicycles have their home is Illmitz. A small, traditional wine-growing community on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl – more precisely in the heart of the Neusiedler See National Park – Seewinkel. A special vacation destination characterized by excellent wine and the Pannonian climate.
A former wine cellar of our family has been transformed into a place for historical bicycles – a spot where time seems to have stood still. A place for nostalgics and lovers of good wine that invites you to linger. Here you can unwind and listen to the sounds of music from bygone times.
Historical bicycles and old technology demonstrate how efficient and well thought out many things were back then – and how much of it has been forgotten today. Each individual bicycle has its own story to tell. I try to bring these stories back to life through careful restoration and research.
