Opening - Floating Christmas Crib at Lake Neusiedl
& Advent swimming with Christmas tree sinking by the water rescue
- A special attraction is a brightly lit, floating crib at the Oggau marina.
A unique reflection on the water creates a pre-Christmas glow.
The Christmas crib comes from the artist Mag.art Slobodan Oreščanin.
The crib can be viewed daily during the Advent season.
- On this evening, the traditional Advent swimming with Christmas tree sinking
by the Austrian water rescue will also take place. Visitors will hang notes with Christmas wishes on the tree.
The tree will be blessed by the priest, and afterwards it will be sunk and secured by the divers of the
water rescue - in honor of those who have died in the lake.
A charming atmosphere with fire bowls, charity punch, and Christmas melodies will
make this evening a special experience.
