Two outstanding stars of Jewish music take the stage together:
Shmuel Barzilai, chief cantor of the Jewish Community of Vienna, is at home on the great stages of the world. His repertoire ranges from cantorial liturgical music to Hasidic and Klezmer melodies, as well as Israeli songs and classical vocal literature.
Beside him at the piano: Elias Meiri, jazz pianist with an equally impressive international career. He is a member of renowned ensembles and has been a longtime musical partner of Timna Brauer.
The program features Jewish, cantorial, Israeli, and popular music, always with plenty of space for improvisation, joy of playing, and surprising musical encounters. An evening full of passion, tradition, and jazz – a musical experience that bridges cultures and styles.
