Sustainable forestry has been practiced at Esterhazy for decades and is confirmed by awards such as the PEFC label and the Wildlife Estate Label. In times of climate change, our forests are indeed threatened, yet climate-adapted forests offer solutions for the future. The Landseer Mountains Nature Park is characterized by a high density of forestation, with diversity playing a central role in resilient and future-proof ecosystems. We demonstrate oak and fir rejuvenation as well as the cultivation of site-adapted guest tree species through practical examples – including discussions and experience exchange.
