Harald Pomper | Strange

25.02.2026
A man in a suit stands in a kitchen holding a spoon in a can. In the background, a washing machine and a bottle of wine can be seen.

With his wonderfully profound performances, the award-winning cabaret artist and songwriter Harald Pomper has been captivating audiences throughout the German-speaking world for years. After his almost clairvoyant programs “Endgame Democracy” and “Different than Planned,” Pomper now addresses the difficulties that humans often have with themselves.

Pomper engages in a conversation with God and attempts to sell religions in a rundown boutique. He illuminates actual or alleged differences between rural and urban populations and embarks on a quest to find the culprits of dissatisfaction. In doing so, he discovers insights in science and also draws on philosophers from Roman antiquity like Seneca.
