On April 17, Burg Schlaining in Southern Burgenland opens its first blooming wonder chamber.
In the region of his former place of work, the culture of Burgenland celebrates with all who have lost their hearts to plants and those who will, the 500th birthday of the great botanist Carolus Clusius with a pop-up garden including an interactive program and a plant market.
Daylilies, imperial crowns, cistus, lilacs, tulips - With a sea of flowers from those plants whose establishment is owed to Carolus Clusius, the temporary garden "Hortus Pacis" brings spring into the hearts of the guests at Burg Schlaining.
“Tulipmania”
Unlike the historical “Tulip Mania” of the 17th century in the Netherlands, guests of all generations are invited to engage creatively with the tulip. Tulip prints and paper tulips can be taken home. The wonderful rare tulips and all other plants from the pop-up garden, including willow baskets, wooden ladders, young garden beans, seed potatoes, and much more, will be available for purchase at a low price at the end of the event during the so-called "Blumissage".
