From July 9 to 18, 2026, the 45th Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus will again attract numerous classical stars such as Sir András Schiff, Gidon Kremer, Julian Prégardien, Ilya Gringolts, the Kremerata Lettonica, actor Michael Dangl, and many others to the mecca of chamber music, invited by Nicolas Altstaedt to present a varied program in the intimate atmosphere of the Knight's Castle and the Parish Church of Lockenhaus, as well as the Synagogue of Köszeg. It is a tradition at the Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus that there are no pre-prepared programs in advance. As a listener, you are invited to become part of the adventure that the artistic director Nicolas Altstaedt guides you through daily. So take your time to immerse yourself in the unique Lockenhaus experience and plan several days for your stay in the heart of Europe - yet secluded from the world - amidst the forests of the Mittelburgenland in Blaufränkischland.
