With the Karakterre festival, Eisenstadt once again takes center stage in the international natural wine scene. In the light-filled orangery of Schloss Esterházy, winemakers, traders, and wine lovers from around the world come together to experience the diversity of organically, biodynamically, and naturally produced wines from Central and Eastern Europe. Karakterre 18 invites you back to the orangery of Schloss Esterházy in Eisenstadt in 2026. Over a two-day period, selected winemakers will present their wines and provide insights into their work, their beliefs, and the sustainable methods that define their origins. For over a decade, Karakterre has been a voice for ecological viticulture and a platform for an engaged community to exchange, network, and develop. The festival brings together people who understand wine as a cultural and agricultural heritage and carry it responsibly into the future.
