OPERA HIGHLIGHTS!
Passion for opera
Opera without singing, purely instrumental, is that possible? When the musicians of the magnificent ensemble minui go to work with their unbridled joy of playing: Yes!
Located somewhere between chamber music and orchestra, the Carinthian-based ensemble minui, consisting of five string players and four wind players, has been exploring the musical possibilities for large chamber music ensembles with elegance and sophistication since it was founded in 2016. While reductions of large orchestral works were initially on the program, opera music gradually became ensemble minui's great passion. The sophisticated arrangements by clarinettist Stefan Potzmann provide the starting point for this. Homogeneous and well-balanced, the nine versatile orchestral musicians offer previously unheard and sound-differentiated perspectives on large-scale operatic works, reduced to what is essential to them: the music!
A sound experience that no opera lover should miss!
