During the 3rd tour around the Schlaining Castle, we explore the "Close(n) Surroundings" right outside our door. This time, the focus is on the treasures of nature in full summer.
We will address edible and usable wild plants as well as other natural products for home use. Together, we will discover berries, nuts, and the last aromatic herbs that are particularly well-suited for spice mixtures and teas at this time. (Keyword: Frauendreißiger!)
Trees are also in the spotlight: We get to know resin and tree gum and learn more about their traditional and practical applications.
The tour will convey how various species can be safely identified, sustainably collected, and used in versatile ways. Exciting stories from the plant world and practical tips for processing make this summer discovery tour a special nature experience.
