Burgenland Nature Experience Days
Guided hike from the mountain pass to the observation tower at Geschriebenstein. There we enjoy the sunrise, with a view far into Hungary.
Afterwards, hike to Rechnitz, where a delicious breakfast awaits us.

Arrival by car or motorcycle
- From the north (Vienna / Eisenstadt / Oberpullendorf): Use the Burgenland expressway (S31) heading south until the exit Oberpullendorf or Neutal. Continue on federal road B50 further south to Lockenhaus. Turn onto B56 in Lockenhaus towards Rechnitz. The road takes you directly uphill to the mountain pass.
- From the south (Graz / Oberwart / Güssing): Drive via B50 to Rechnitz. In the town, turn onto B56 towards Lockenhaus. The winding road takes you directly to the highest point.
- Parking: There is a large, well-signposted and free parking lot on the western side of the road directly at the highest point of the mountain pass.
