Experience the hidden world of moths live!
Dive into an unknown cosmos and explore our native moth species on the screen, which are attracted by special lamps and baits.
At dusk, many of our native moth species can be attracted using "light screens" and "bait strings." Many of these species even present themselves in yellow, orange, red, or green and are not inconspicuous at all. Some have a wingspan of just a few millimeters, while others exceed 10 cm.
Thomas Zechmeister will lead you into the unknown cosmos of moths and provide an entertaining and exciting overview of the native species landscape, their importance in the ecosystem, and the necessity of monitoring them for nature conservation-related management measures.
The event is aimed at both young and old - from about 8 years old.
