Wine Regulars' Table: “ALSACE – a step closer to heaven”
Discover with us one of the most charming wine regions in France! Alsace is known for its elegant Rieslings as well as aromatic and full-bodied white wines from Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and other traditional grape varieties. Sparkling Crémants and fine Pinot Noirs complete the impressive diversity of the region.
Along the famous "Route des Vins d’Alsace," picturesque wine villages and traditional wineries are lined up. Just as distinctive as the wines is the hospitality of the people in Alsace. In May of this year, Franz Kast had the pleasure of exploring this special wine region together with a group of wine enthusiasts. At the Wine Regulars' Table, selected photos and personal impressions from this trip will be presented.
The highlight of the evening will be the tasting of 18 carefully selected wines from renowned Alsatian wineries:
- Mélanie Pfister, Dahlenheim
- Domaine Victor Hertz, Herrlisheim
- Pierre Yves Meyer, Blienschwiller
- Gilbert Ruhlmann Fils, Scherwiller
- Meyer-Fonné, Katzenthal
The spectrum ranges from Crémant Blanc de Blancs to Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir, including several Rieslings from Grand-Cru locations. Noble sweet specialties must not be missing on this journey through the wine world of Alsace.
Culinary accompaniment for the tasting will be a typical Alsatian dish: Pork roast and sausages with sauerkraut.
