For this, papers or textiles are coated with a light-sensitive solution that produces the water-insoluble dye Prussian blue when exposed to UV light. Due to its characteristic blue color, this process is also called blue printing. It results in a light- and water-stable print of the previously created motif.
Throughout the workshop, participants will receive information about the history of cyanotype and have the opportunity to expose various image carriers.
