The Burgenland call taxi "BAST" enhances the accessibility of the participating communities and closes the gaps in the public transport network. Passengers are served on demand: After a telephone booking, the BAST arrives at the designated stop at the booked departure time.
Rides are possible from stop to stop during operating hours, as well as to and from the public bus stops. If there is no public transport (bus or train) 30 minutes before and after the desired departure time, the BAST comes into use. The BAST ride must be booked at least 60 minutes before the desired departure time. Rides can also be booked up to 30 days in advance – like a type of subscription. There is also the option to book both outbound and return trips at once.
BAST rides can only be booked through the 24/7 hotline 0800 500 805 .

What is "BAST"?The Burgenland call taxi "BAST" is a micro-public transport system that has been in operation throughout Burgenland from Monday to Sunday for passengers since December 1, 2024.
It complements public transport and fills the gaps in the public transport network. The BAST is deployed on demand – it only operates when there is real demand along a route, thus avoiding empty trips. For the residents of Burgenland, the BAST creates new flexible opportunities to utilize the existing bus network and reduce reliance on private cars.
Free transportation with the Burgenland call and collect taxi (Burgenländisches Anruf-Sammeltaxi - "BAST") with the Burgenland Card (tourist ticket)
Fee without Burgenland Card: varies depending on the route, accourding to the tariffs of the Verkehrsbund Ost-Region (VOR)
