On the hike to the ruins, which can be easily reached from the village of Neuhaus by footpath, one can still discover remnants of the old outer castle in the forest. With the newly established nature education workshop, it has also become a popular destination for clubs, schools, and couples in love. Weddings, private celebrations, and excursions enliven the castle hill.
Recommended: The observation tower of the castle ruins. The view extends from the Neuhaus hilly landscape, over Slovenia, further to the castles Tabor and Kapfenstein, all the way to the Styrian hilly landscape.
