The Associated Winemakers are a cooperative, established in 1962. We are located in the heart of Burgenland, in the east of Austria. The wine region’s name is Mittelburgenland, its nick name is Blaufränkischland. Mainly the red grapes of the varieties Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt find optimal conditions in terms of terroir, weather and soil structure so that we are able to produce racy, characterful, tannic red wines with powerful structure and fine acidity.
Our company has 100 members, they deliver us the grapes from 400 hectares of vineyards, therefore every year our cellarmaster has the responsibility and challenge to vinificate approximately 3 Million Liters of wine with outstanding quality (out of them 95% Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt).
Our product range comprises wine types for everybody’s taste:
Classic Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Merlot and Grüner Veltliner, vinficated in steel tanks.
Blaufränkisch Gfanger and Dürrau, grapes from a top site in Horitschon, as well as blends of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Merlot matured in Barriques barrels.
