On five hectares of the best Ruster soils, the Hammer family cultivates a diverse range, from the light and crisp Welschriesling to aromatic and fruity Sauvignons, Burgundies aged in small wood, and deeply complex red wines, all the way to the Ruster Ausbruch, known in the region.
The Hammer family has placed great value on sustainable work with nature even before the business was taken over by son Markus. He is now fully committed to organic farming. Thoughtful manual labor in the vineyard, careful processing in the cellar, and the right time for aging form the basis for expressing the unique diversity of the Ruster sites.
