On the stretch between Jois and Winden, directly at the Neusiedler See - cycle path B10 - lies this beautifully laid out fountain with a modern sculpture. The springs at the foot of the Hackelsberg, such as the Hexenbründl, were used by the first sedentary people to supply the water they needed to survive. Because of the importance of such springs, scary and uncanny stories were told over the years to keep strangers away from these places.
