The Mattersburg Cultural Center (KUZ) is a significant cultural and event center in Burgenland, built in 1976 according to the plans of architect Herwig Udo Graf in the style of Brutalism. After extensive renovation work, it was reopened in 2022 and now combines modern architecture with historical charm. The building houses various facilities over an area of 4,750 m², including the Literature House, the State Archive, the State Library, the Adult Education Center, and a multifunctional foyer for exhibitions and receptions.

The cultural center offers a diverse program featuring cabaret, concerts, and theater performances, and is also a popular location for weddings, birthday parties, and business events. The architecture of the KUZ is regarded as an outstanding example of Brutalism and has been included in the virtual collection of the German Architecture Museum.
