The Madonnenschlössl is located in the midst of a three and a half hectare park with magnificent views extending into the Hungarian lowlands and Slovenia.
It was built around 1900 on behalf of the sister of the then lord of the castle and served as a meeting point for the builder and her lover. For this reason, it is also known by the nickname "Trutzschlössl".
The ground floor consists of serpentinite, for which the town of Bernstein is known. The upper floor is a wooden beam construction, with a hand-carved skull visible on every second beam. Also notable are the snake-headed water spouts that protrude from the hipped roof.
Today, the Madonnenschlössl is used for cultural events of all kinds, and a 200 m² cultural arena has been constructed about 50 meters next to the Madonnenschlössl.
There is the possibility of overnight stays in this special setting.
