The imposing town house dating back to 1675 stands at the highest point of the beautiful town centre of Rust.

The last owner Rudolf Kremayr - co-founder of the well-known Donauland publishing house - renovated the house and donated it and his large art collection to the Free City of Rust in 1986.

The house displays the history of the town of Rust with the town charter, the executioner's sword and much more.

The wine cellar of the house presents the best wines of the Free City of Rust and the partner city Tokaji.

Various exhibitions and events take place in the idyllic courtyard and wine cellar.
