When one speaks of "Neckenmarkt - the winemakers," it means far more than a winery. Behind this name stand around 70 dedicated winemaking families who share one common bond: a passion for wine, respect for nature, and the highest quality standards – extracting the best from many.
What makes these wines special? The combination of lived tradition, state-of-the-art cellar technology, and real craftsmanship.
For decades, they have represented wines of the highest quality and international recognition. In close cooperation with the winemaking families, careful and resource-saving work is carried out throughout the year – from pruning to harvesting. Their guiding principle: a life with and not from nature.
Viticulture with history and future
What does it take to make good wine? Above all: the right soil. The Mittelburgenland, and especially Neckenmarkt, offers with its excellent terroir – particularly for Blaufränkisch – ideal conditions. Even the Romans recognized the quality of the soils in Neckenmarkt and established the first vineyards along the Amber Road over 2000 years ago. Today, the winemakers combine this long tradition with modern technology and sustainable practices – for wines with character and origin.
