In 1965, the sculptor Wander Bertoni acquired a watermill in Winden am See, at the foot of the Leitha Mountains. On ancient cultivated land (Roman villa, discovery of the oldest wine press in Austria - second half of 200 AD), a very special art site was created that is unique in Europe.
The large sculptures are visible from a distance along the cherry blossom bike path. Since 2010, Wander Bertoni's egg collection has been housed in a very interesting new building in connection with the other structures. Over 400 sculptures can be viewed on the grounds and in various interior spaces.
