In 1965, sculptor Wander Bertoni acquired a water mill in Winden am See, at the foot of the Leitha Mountains. On ancient cultural ground (Roman villa, finding of the oldest wine press in Austrian territory - second half of 200 AD), a very special artistic site was created, unique in the European area.
The large sculptures are already visible from afar along the cherry blossom bike path. Since 2010, the egg collection of Wander Bertoni has been housed in a very interesting new building in the context of the other structures. Over 400 sculptures can be viewed on the grounds and in various indoor spaces.
