The Landesmuseum is a universal museum, which shows over 10,000 years of human history of this region. It forms the cultural and historical memory of Burgenland. The permanent exhibitions "Der Burgenland: Land in Bewegung - Land der Begegnung"; "Tradition und Brauchtum"; "Archäologie im Burgenland" & "Biologie und Paläontologie" shows numerous treasures of Burgenland history, culture and identity. Annually changing special exhibitions take up the most diverse themes and are presented in a competent, modern and family-friendly way.
