Siegendorf

The Pannonian saffron has gained a top position in the international market for this precious spice among chefs and restaurateurs in recent years. It is grown in our region, and the Safranoleum was established in Siegendorf as a center of expertise for exquisite flavors.

In addition to Pannonian saffron, high-quality spices, herb oils produced on the estate, special types of honey, and much more are offered. The products can be experienced here with all the senses: viewing, touching, smelling, and tasting. There is also a wealth of information and stories surrounding these spices.

In the herb garden, an actual utilitarian garden, visitors learn about the spice both as seed and as a plant. They also discover the work steps from harvesting, drying, to processing and bottling. The artisanal production of the oils is also demonstrated on-site. Throughout the year, various farm festivals (e.g., saffron harvest festival) with other producers, seminars, and lectures take place at the Safranoleum.

Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM and by appointment
