A hidden gem is the small place Weiden am See, located on the northeast shore of Lake Neusiedl. A top spot for sailors and windsurfers, but families and seniors also appreciate the infrastructure of the lakeside bath. Excursions to the cities of Eisenstadt, Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest, or the Neusiedler See – Seewinkel National Park are recommended. The cozy Buschenschenken serve wine from their own production, traditional cuisine, fine dining, and grilled fish round out the offerings. The visitors can choose between 3-star guesthouses, numerous private accommodations (also at wine producers), and homes directly by the lake.
