The family-run business is located in southern Burgenland in the wine idyll of Südburgenland. The wines grow on mineral soils in Deutsch Schützen and on the southeast slopes near the pilgrimage church of Maria Weinberg.
85 % of the vineyard area is planted with red wine varieties, with Blaufränkisch being the main variety. Additionally, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot are cultivated. 15 % of the area is dedicated to white wine varieties like Welschriesling and Grüner Veltliner.
The quality control begins already in the vineyard. Through short pruning and thinning of the grapes, the quality of the harvest is enhanced. The white wines are bottled early to preserve their freshness. For the red wines, gentle pressing occurs after open mash fermentation. After the acidity reduction, the red wines mature partly in large wooden barrels and also in small barrique barrels. All wines are bottled varietally.
