Uwe Schiefer basically represents the philosophy "less is more", both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Schiefer is constantly investing in the expansion of his vineyard area, which now amounts to 22ha. The ambitious vintner recultivates ancient steep slopes where no irrigation is possible, experiments with Blaufränkisch selections and various rootstocks, as well as new training methods.
The village wines "Szapary" and "Reihburg" are produced without aids to emphasize the terroir and the distinct character of the Blaufränkisch from Eisenberg. For more than 2 decades, as long as he has been working on the Blaufränkisch, Uwe Schiefer has also been dedicated to the indigenous white grape variety Welschriesling.
Excellent examples of Merlot and Pinot Noir complement the portfolio. Additionally, various Frizzante, fine spirits, grape juice, as well as paprika powder and pumpkin seed oil are produced.
