Werkovits - The pasta manufactory

Until 1993, our family – Johann and Anna Werkovits along with Hans and Gitti – like many others, was involved in poultry farming. However, with the generational change and the upcoming EU accession, we faced new challenges: the market conditions for poultry farmers became noticeably stricter. This is how the idea came about to further develop and refine our main product – the egg.

And so, over 20 years ago, we began producing homemade pasta. From the very beginning, it was clear to us: If we do it, we do it right – high-quality products made with a clear conscience. Completely free from preservatives, artificial flavors, colorants, or flavor enhancers. Only what truly belongs in the pasta – and most importantly: fresh eggs directly from our own farm.

Our hens live in free-range and barn systems in the beautiful Mittelburgenland – GMO-free and with plenty of space and good care. The fresh eggs we collect daily are the foundation for our pasta and our greatest pride. In addition to our homemade noodles, we personally supply restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses with fresh eggs – directly from the farm, without detours. Quality, regionality, and trust are our top priorities.

What began as a small family business has today evolved into a passionately run company with a clear philosophy: quality you can taste – from the egg to the noodle.
