The municipalities of Wiesen in Burgenland and Lanzenkirchen in Lower Austria established a joint excursion destination as part of an EU project, which stands at the border of the two towns.
A 15-meter-high observation tower was built from which one can look towards Lake Neusiedl on one side, and on the other side, the Steinfeld, the Bucklige Welt, the Schneeberg, and the Hohe Wand can be seen. The observation tower is one of the hiking highlights of the region.
It is easily reachable from the Lower Austrian side of Lanzenkirchen, Ofenbach, and Katzelsdorf. From the Burgenland side of Wiesen, Bad Sauerbrunn, Neudörfl, and of course from Forchtenstein (the Rosalia district, suitable for the older generation as it is not steep) it can be hiked.

It is not only a popular destination for hikers and families, but also for mountain bikers, as there are relaxing loungers as well as tables and benches inviting resting and snacking.

The observation tower is accessible all year round and can be visited at any time!
