The observation tower in Bad Sauerbrunn is a distinctive landmark on the western edge of the village, near the Florianikreuz. The 28-meter-tall wood-steel structure winds elegantly around a tree trunk that is over 100 years old. A spiral staircase with 133 steps leads to the viewing platform at a height of 25 meters, from where visitors can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the Rosalia Mountains, Lake Neusiedl, and, on clear days, even as far as Sopron, Bratislava, and Schneeberg.
The tower is freely accessible year-round and can be reached via various paths: either through Kirchengasse or along the serpentine path, which starts right next to the fire station. Especially for families, the natureVisionen adventure trail offers a varied pathway to the lookout point with interactive stations and play opportunities.
Since its opening in 2007, the observation tower has been a popular destination for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers who want to experience the beauty of the Mittelburgenland-Rosalia region from a bird's-eye view.
The observation tower is freely accessible year-round and can be visited at any time!
