The new winery is located on the B52 main road between Eisenstadt and Trausdorf, in front of the historic "Esterházyschen Meierhof". The vinification facilities of the new winery, which was planned in 2004 and implementation of which began in 2005, were ready in time for the 2006 harvest.
The winery facilities built for the vinification and barrel ageing of Classic, Estoras and Lage wines include a red wine fermentation hall operating on the principle of gravity, a white wine production hall and a barrique ageing hall with space for 600 barrique barrels.
The barrique room is equipped with a 14 m long and 3.5 m high wall made of natural Austrian clay, which ensures optimum control of temperature and humidity.
The vines of the Esterházy Winery are situated in the best locations in the heart of the "Neusiedler See Hügelland": on the southern slopes of the Leitha Mountains and the "Ruster Hügelland".
The unique symbiosis of calcareous soils and an exceptional microclimate influenced by Lake Neusiedl produces wines with a very special terroir character.
