Tradition
Our vineyards on the south slopes of the Leitha Mountains between the towns of Donnerskirchen and Purbach, in family ownership for decades, have now grown to about 7 ha of vineyard area. The operation is run by Elisabeth & Josef Hafner, as well as Mario Tschank BA.
Unique Taste
The Neusiedler See region in northern Burgenland is blessed with the highest number of sunny days in Austria. This climatically favored location allows the grapes to ripen particularly well, thus unfolding their unparalleled fruity taste. They give the wine its unique character.
Diversity of Varieties
Traditional indigenous varieties such as Welschriesling, Grüner Veltliner, and Zweigelt, as well as Merlot, Syrah, Rathay, and many more make up our range. Gewürztraminer has been newly planted. This further unfolds and expands the extensive diversity of the vineyard operation.
Quality
Integrated and quality-oriented viticulture is important to us. We consciously refrain from the use of herbicides and exclusively harvest by hand. Ongoing upgrades to the technical equipment additionally enhance our wine quality.
